Some exciting news just pulled in up! We have just learned of a new option for Disney fans and their families for a means of transportation to and from the Orlando airport. As we know Disney will end their long-standing Disney’s Magical Express service on December 31, 2021. To have a little refresher course, Disney’s Magical Express service provides complimentary transportation for Disney Resort hotel Guests between Orlando International Airport and their Disney Resort hotel via motorcoach. As sadden as we are to see it go and now anxious on how we will choose who will transport us to our resort and back. In addition, not intending to pay an arm and a leg for this currently free service is daunting.
But good news! Transportation Management Services or TMS as announced the launch of ‘The Sunshine Flyer.’ ‘The Sunshine flyer’ will be a themed motorcoach bus experience that will transport Disney guests to and from the Orlando International Airport to all Walt Disney World area resorts. This mode of transportation will be offering an accessible and lost cost alternative to many other choices already available from Mears shuttle services, taxi or a ride share programs.
The cost of this can vary on one-way or round-trip transportation and per the age of person traveling. ‘The Sunshine flyer’ will offer a child and adult ticket options. Children can expect to be charged $12.50 to $25.00 to where adults can be charged $17.00 to $34.00.
Additionally, ‘The Sunshine flyer’ will be themed to model 1920’s old fashioned locomotives and the motor coach ‘train engineers’ will be dressed to match the concept. While I am thrilled to see the 1920’s railroad conductors’ uniforms and the interior of the motor coaches, I will be more pleased with the knowledge I can get to and from Disney with my luggage at tow.
