Dinosaur Official Closing Date!!!
Disney announced today that Animal Kingdom’s Dinosaur and DinoLand U.S.A. will permanently close on February 2nd, 2026. In addition, several other changes will be made to accommodate the DinoLand closure. These early 2026 closures will make way for the opening of Tropical Americas in 2027.

What does this mean? Well, this means the final day to experience DINOSAUR, The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus, and Restaurantosaurus Lounge will be February 1 to enjoy this iconic park of DinoLand for the last time!!!

Disney states:
“The last day to experience DINOSAUR is February 1. The attraction will close permanently on February 2 to make way for Tropical Americas.”

What is replacing DinoLand U.S.A?
The dino-themed jeep ride will be replaced by an exciting Indiana Jones attraction, and subsequently Dinosaur and Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland share the same ride vehicles and track. We are excited to see more information come out as we see the deconstruction of the once vibrant land in Animal Kingdom.
Along with that, The Boneyard play area in DinoLand U.S.A. permanently closed on September 1, and while we’re sad to see it go, we’re excited for the opening “Tropical Americas” (name may change) which opens in 2027.

What’s already closed in DinoLand?
To assist in construction, TriceraTop Spin, the Fossil Fun Games, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures and The Boneyard are already closed.
