Voices of Liberty
To celebrate Presidents’ Day at EPCOT’s American Adventure pavilion is very special and every moment of it’s reflection to celebrate service, storytelling, and the voices that continue to shape America’s story.
Visiting the American Adventure pavilion not only immerses you in a indoor experience that honors our nation’s past, present, and appreciation for those who have served it throughout the years. Together, these offerings create a meaningful tribute to the American ideals, told through music, art, and personal connection.
Disney has released more details and history of Voices of Liberty, read below.
Honoring America Through Song and Service
Since October 1, 1982, the Voices of Liberty have delighted guests as the resident a cappella ensemble of The American Adventure pavilion in World Showcase.
Performing in the pavilion’s stately rotunda, this group of storytellers is renowned for their stirring renditions of American folk songs and patriotic anthems, bringing American history and spirit to life and setting the tone for the immersive experience millions of guests have enjoyed since the attraction opened.
This Presidents’ Day, visiting guests were treated to a special set of songs (including “Golden Dream” and “This Land is Your Land”) during the Voices of Liberty Echo Sets. Offered on special patriotic occasions, this powerful performance brings two groups of Voices of Liberty performers together for a moving finale, with performers on both floors, sending their voices echoing throughout the pavilion’s decorated, patriotic rotunda.
“Joy is at the heart of everything we sing. When someone in the audience truly connects with what we’re sharing, it energizes us. Sometimes we become emotional, but most of all, it inspires us to dive deeper and deliver the message to its fullest potential,” said Voices of Liberty singer, Aaron Stratton.

Veteran Cast Members Celebrate America
Aaron has been with the Voices of Liberty for more than a decade. Yet his story becomes even more special once we discovered that before becoming a cast member at Walt Disney World, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.
“When I first joined the group in 2013, my older brother was on a tour in Afghanistan. Certain songs would evoke strong emotions for me, reminding me how proud I was of him and of representing the U.S. in this role,” he explained. “I don’t take lightly that we’re considered hosts here at EPCOT. I love meeting people from across the U.S. and around the world. Some guests come from countries where patriotism isn’t widely expressed, yet they enjoy being part of our celebration of American history.”
It’s not just the singers who are honoring our country. Behind-the-scenes entertainment technician cast members also play a vital role, lighting the rotunda in red, white, and blue for those special performances that stir feelings of nostalgia, patriotism, and unity.

“The Echo Sets are truly special because you have twice the Voices of Liberty — a full cast on the first floor and another on the second. For the big finale, the lights brighten to make the moment feel extra special, and as the singers step forward, the sound fills the rotunda dome. It’s absolutely incredible,” said tech planner, Patrick Lienemann.

It’s a special feeling for Patrick to continuously be a part of this impressive crew day after day, but his impactful connection to these legendary performances goes even deeper than that.
“Being part of the tech team at EPCOT during America’s 250th celebration is incredible on its own, but for me, it goes even deeper. As a veteran, there’s something about it that really touches home — it makes you feel good, makes you feel remembered. And honestly, it’s magical,” said Lienemann.
Bringing America’s Story to Life
Performances like this are part of a bigger moment of remembrance and celebration at EPCOT.
The Walt Disney Company recently announced Disney Celebrates America, a company-wide celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Through July 4, Disney is featuring special programming, storytelling, and experiences that honor the nation’s remarkable journey, spotlighting the people and places that make this country so unique and inspire patriotism in every generation.
NOTE:
In addition to Presidents’ Day, The Voices of Liberty Echo Sets will also perform on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.
