Celebrate Black History Month at Walt Disney World Resort
Disney has shared with us a look into the festivities and celebrations at Walt Disney World for Black history month which is almost here. Look below at Disney’s information and the exciting things that we can see coming up in March!

Toya Johnson-Rushing Helps Launch Black History Month Festivities at Magic Kingdom
There was a little extra magic in the air at Magic Kingdom on Monday and you could feel it the second the music started.
TV personality Toya Johnson-Rushing hit Main Street, U.S.A. as part of Walt Disney World Resort’s Black History Month festivities. Toya “celebrated soulfully” in the most Disney way possible: as the grand marshal of a special parade. Joined by Mickey Mouse and her daughter Reign Rushing, she waved to guests from the grand marshal car during the cavalcade.

And if you ask me, there’s no better way to start any Disney day (especially at Magic Kingdom) than with a little family-friendly thrill. For Toya and Reign, it was Heigh-ho, heigh-ho… off to Fantasyland they go. Toya, Reign and family hopped aboard Seven Dwarfs Mine Train before making their way down the bayou for a magical moment with Princess Tiana. The real question: do you think Toya left with Tiana’s famous beignet recipe? We can only hope.

Just like Toya, guests can continue to “Celebrate Soulfully” all month long (and beyond!) across Walt Disney World Resort with experiences that spotlight culture through music, art, food and entertainment — creating moments that feel just as meaningful as they are memorable.

And while visiting Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to stop by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, where Princess Tiana teams up with Naveen, Mama Odie, and jazz-loving Louis for a lively musical journey through the bayou as they prepare for her southern soiree.
