
Disney Updated Policies: Alcohol Policy Carry-On Allowance
Disney has changed their alcohol policy, and what you can now carry on to the ships. On another note, Disney did lower their dining room corkage fee per bottle from $29 to $20. All this is effective June 3, 2026.
Previously the policy was:
“Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or sparkling wine (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage.”
But the policy has now changed view their statement below.

Alcohol Policy
Disney Cruise Line is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable cruise experience for our Guests. Luggage delivery may be delayed until late in the evening if alcohol is found in checked luggage. To ensure timely luggage delivery to your stateroom, please follow our alcohol policy below.
Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older—or Guests 18 years and older on round-trip cruises from Singapore—may bring a maximum of one bottle of unopened wine or sparkling wine (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage.
Guests who bring wine or sparkling wine on board and then wish to consume it in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corkage fee of $20 USD per bottle.
Please note:

- Alcohol packed in checked luggage will be removed and no compensation will be offered. Please be aware that Guests with beverage containers in checked luggage have experienced damage to their belongings.
- All alcohol brought on board must be in the original unopened container. Partially used bottles and those in which the seal is broken are prohibited.
- Any wine or sparkling wine in excess of one bottle or beer in excess of 6 beers is prohibited and must be discarded prior to entry. No compensation will be offered.
- All alcohol, including liquors, spirits, wine and beer purchased in ports of call will be collected and stored until the end of the cruise.
- Guests must retrieve stored alcohol at the end of the cruise. Items not retrieved will be discarded, and no compensation will be offered.
- Alcohol brought on board may not be consumed in any lounge or public area.
- All Guests must comply with all laws and Disney Cruise Line policies related to the consumption and distribution of alcohol. Guests are prohibited from providing alcoholic beverages to any other person, regardless of age.
- This policy is subject to change without notice.
- Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to refuse sale and/or service of alcoholic beverages to anyone.
The drinking age on board is 21, and a valid photo ID is required.
However, during round-trip cruises departing from any European country that has a lower drinking age, parents or guardians may sign a Beverage Consent Form that allows their 18- to 20-year-old children to consume alcoholic beverages while in the adult’s presence.
In addition, for round-trip cruises from Singapore, Guests 18 years of age and older may purchase and consume alcoholic beverages without parental consent.

What age must a Guest be to drink alcoholic beverages on the ship?
The drinking age on board is 21, and a valid photo I.D. is required.
However, during round-trip cruises departing from any European country that has a lower drinking age, parents or guardians may sign a Beverage Consent Form that allows their 18- to 20-year-old children to consume alcoholic beverages while in the adult’s presence.
In addition, for round-trip cruises from Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Brisbane and Singapore, Guests 18 years of age and older may purchase and consume alcoholic beverages without parental consent. For repositioning cruises between Hawai’i and Australia, parents or guardians may sign a Beverage Consent Form that allows their 18- to 20-year-old children to consume alcoholic beverages while in the adult’s presence.
