Hotel Transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Stops?!?!
When you read this tittle you might be like thinking what is Disney thinking? But this is true and not click bait. Starting August 17th, Walt Disney World Resort has announced the upcoming closure of a popular transportation option at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort. The shutdown will impact guests hoping to travel from the sister Deluxe Disney Resort hotels to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests should check the Walt Disney World Resort website and the My Disney Experience app, or ask a hotel cast member, for the most up-to-date transportation information during their visit.
According to Walt Disney World Resort:
The FriendShip Boat dock at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort will close for refurbishment from August 17 through August 21, 2026. This watercraft transportation option typically allows guests staying at the sister hotels to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. During the closure, boat transportation to these two Disney parks will be unavailable and to use bus or Skyliner transportation.
Direct bus transportation will be available for guests traveling between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort or Disney’s Beach Club Resort between August 17 and August 21, returning the August 22. Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort guests traveling to EPCOT will need to walk to the park’s International Gateway entrance. The walk takes about 10 minutes.
