Walt Disney World has announced, on Tik Tok, that traditional character meet & greets with cuddles, autographs, and other ordinary, non-distanced interactions will soon return to the parks! You can watch the video down below!
Starting April 18, 2022, the company will start reintroducing traditional character greetings at Walt Disney World, as well as Disneyland, Aulani Resort and their popular cruise lines.
Though we are happy to hear about reintroduction, we haven’t heard much if they will reopen character dining locations. With them starting to phase back favorites like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Dinner Show at Fort Wilderness we can’t wait!
In the statement, Disney told the following:
“During the past two years, we’ve taken a very gradual, intentional approach to health and safety protocols. Recent trends and guidance have provided opportunities for us to bring back some of our most beloved magic, like character greetings and dining experiences.”
“While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.”
