Disney World as announced that before Fantasmic! returns some controversial changes will be made to particular scenes that in the past has caused controversy over how it was portrayed certain individuals and ethnicities. Scott Gustin, a news guy at Nexstar, has confirmed the announcement. Look below.
Scott Gustin states:
When “Fantasmic!” returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios later this year, it will feature “a new show sequence featuring Disney characters – Mulan, Elsa, Aladdin, Pocahontas and Moana – in heroic moments, as well as new technical enhancements.”
In the treads Scott commented on the scene change, stating:
“The new sequence will replace the existing Pocahontas scene. The scene will feature multiple characters – and each will have their own moment during the new scene.
It will also replace the scene at that specific slot in the show. Also, it’s a bit longer than the current scene.”
