Disney World Changes Advance Booking Window for Hotel Rooms

Starting today, August 19^th, 2022, Disney World has lowered the advance booking window for the room-only hotel reservations from 499 days. In previous years, the window was 499 days from the existing date. Reservations too far in advance were only accessible by phone but know are available on the Disney’s website.

In doing this, Disney has now shortened the booking window for room-only reservations to however far out their current annual product is. For example, as of today, dates are only accessible through the end of 2023. After the 2024 dates and prices are announced, sometime next spring, the booking window will then open till the end of 2024.

Beginning today, Walt Disney World has changed their advance booking window for room-only reservations from 499 days to as far out as annual product release dates.
This means guests can currently book through December 31, 2023, which is still 499 days from today, because Walt Disney World pricing is available through that date. But further dates will not be available until Walt Disney World announces their 2024 packages, prices, dates, etc., likely in late spring 2023. At that time, guests will then be able to book room-only reservations through the end of 2024.

This is fantastic news because I can now book several vacations way in advance and get them paid off quicker. I’ll have more flexibility and know what hotels are available during high volume events and holidays.
