Current Ride Share Pick-Up Locations at Walt Disney World Resort
Disney buses are packed and running behind or need to get to another resort for your 7 A.M. dining reservations and the buses aren’t running quite yet? Then a ride share service such as Lift or Uber are great tools to help you get around Disney world and surrounding areas quicker but where can you find them? Most ride share locations at Disney World are in different areas and somewhat of a walk to them.
Disney has provided signs pointing you to rideshare pick-up points, but with more and more people using them they can get pretty busy and fast. Supply and demand times can raise the cost so avoid using them when everyone else will, for example right after the firework shows. Below we have added some of our favorite tips to help you manage your ride share experience, as well as save you some money.
Current Ride Share Pick-up Locations at Disney World:
- Animal Kingdom: front of the park to the ride hand side of the parking lot
- EPCOT: straight as you get into the parking lot on the left side
- Hollywood Studios: last row of the bus station
- Magic Kingdom: at ticket and transportation center or at one of the resorts near by
- Resorts: front entrance of resort
- Disney Springs: (2 locations) Marketplace Area on the East side of the Bus Loop and Loading zones 8 and 9 Section on the West Side of the Bus Loop
Our Tips:
- Don’t book till you are near your pickup site. The drivers will not wait for you.
- To get to the Magic Kingdom quicker get dropped off at the Contemporary Resort instead, and a quick walk over and you are there! The drop off site at Magic Kingdom’s Ticket and transportation takes much longer to get to there by boat, monorail or bus.
- Give yourself plenty of time to get to your reservations and location. Traffic can be messy and rope drop is very busy.
- Download your apps in advance to your trip and get familiar with the tools provided.
- Price your rides out per location and add 10% for a buffer. This can help you budget better. Depending on time and demand rides can double.
- Consider picking the ‘Priority Mode’ with Lyft when available this could shave off minutes in waiting but will cost you. Helps with those little ones that just need to get back to the resort asap.
- Download both Lift and Uber apps and check both for availability. The price difference will amaze you.
- Ride share to local attractions, stores and restaurants instead of renting a car and paying for parking fees, toll roads, etc.
