Important News for the Monorail This Friday!!!
Guests visiting Disney World Friday, July 14th should be aware that the monorail system will be closed in the morning for a delayed opening due to routine maintenance.
Here’s the Disney’s official statement:
Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation will have a delayed opening this Friday, July 14, to accommodate routine maintenance.
We anticipate that all monorail beams – EPCOT, Resorts and Express to Magic Kingdom – will be open by approximately 10am.
Guests may use our existing boat transportation to reach Magic Kingdom. We will also offer bus transportation that will stop at each location along the Resort Monorail beam: The Transportation & Ticket Center, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
During this delayed opening, we will offer direct bus service to EPCOT from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Normal Hours of Operation:
- The Resort Monorail and Express Monorail begin operating 30 minutes prior to when Magic Kingdom Park opens and stop one hour after Magic Kingdom park closes.
- The EPCOT Monorail begins operating 30 minutes prior to when EPCOT opens and stops 2 hours after EPCOT closes.
