Update to Rider Requirements on TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom
Disney has quietly released new signage around the TRON Lightcycle Run plaza warning guests that the unique seating and restraint system may exclude them from riding the 60 second ride. Here’s a look at the signage that can be found as guests walk to the attraction entrance stated by Disney.
The seating and restraints on this attraction may prohibit Guests of certain body shapes or sizes from riding. Please try the seat to confirm your ability to ride. See a Cast Member for assistance.
You can ride test vehicles to try out the unique seating, these are located near the entrance to the attraction onto the left side. Usually, a Cast Member is close to assist anyone witch questions. If you feel uneasy about the ride itself or another option that is available is the seated restraint. This is usually for handicap or riders that can bend over on the ride and is much easier to ride and still get a great experience.
I chose this option, and it was great!!! Heads up though, they only have selected seating for this option, and it may take some time to get through the ride. I personally didn’t find it to take that long, only an additional 5 to 7 minutes longer.
