A Bear in a Tree at Walt Disney World?!?! and NO It’s not Winnie the Pooh
Magic Kingdom was partially closed today because of a block bear roaming the property. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) has been called in to assist with the situation. Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission released statements that a Black bear was in a tree located in the Magic Kingdom and Disney World Officials have closed the part of the park to give the bear some space and of course protect their guest. This bear occurrence has caused quite the closure in fact several rides, restaurants, shops, and attractions, including Genie+ availability.

NEW statement from Disney: “We are working with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission and have made the decision to reopen Frontierland, Liberty Square and Adventureland.” “As shared by the FWC, staff are on site and working on capturing and relocating the bear.”
NEW: In a statement, The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says it is aware of reports of a black bear spotted in a tree at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. “Biologists with the FWC’s Bear Management Program, as well as FWC officers, are on scene.”
NEW: The FWC safely captured the adult, female bear spotted in a tree earlier today at Magic Kingdom Park. The bear was captured in a backstage area northeast of the Rivers of America.
