Disney Quietly Announces Soft Opening for New Moana Attraction
Disney just announced that Moana’s Journey of Water will officially have a soft opening on select days and hours starting tomorrow, October 6, through October 15.
This happens a week before the new Disney World attraction is officially scheduled to open on October 16. Disney inserted that during these “surprise-and-delight opportunities,” current guests already in the EPCOT may join a virtual queue at 9 a.m. through their My Disney Experience app. It is noted that when available to do so.
Disney states:
Surprise, voyagers – Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT will soft open on select days and hours between Oct. 6-15! We’re delighted by the wave of excitement for this new experience even before its grand opening on Oct. 16.
During these surprise-and-delight opportunities, a virtual queue may be available for guests in the park to join starting at 9 a.m. when needed.
