
Disney Destiny Updates: Ship’s Log
The Disney Cruise Line has given us another update to the newest ship, Disney Destiny. Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany as given us another ship’s log for the Disney Destiny, and we are thrilled to hear more about this exciting cruise ship and watch it come to life. The ship’s maiden voyage on November 20 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. will be epic but in true Disney fashion we get to here more information on how, what and where the ships stages, information and details are coming to life.


Nearly one year ago, we began documenting the Disney Destiny’s progress here on the ship’s log. Readers watched the ship come to life through construction updates from the Meyer Werft Shipyard, sneak peeks of the interior from Walt Disney Imagineering, and even a behind-the-scenes look at the show development process with Disney Live Entertainment. And now, the wait is finally over. It’s time to discover your own destiny!
Today, the Disney Destiny sets sail on its maiden voyage from its home port of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., bringing the legendary stories of Disney heroes and villains to life at sea. Following a spectacular christening ceremony, the inaugural season kicks off with 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean.
With one-of-a-kind venues, extraordinary entertainment and world-class dining experiences, every voyage on the Disney Destiny is sure to be an epic adventure. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy, from watching Hercules embark on a heroic journey at The Walt Disney Theatre to unleashing your villainous side during an adults-only evening at De Vil’s piano bar.
