runDisney Announces Virtual 12Ks of Christmas with The Muppets
A new series of virtual runs has been announced by runDisney. This year, Muppets fans will be thrilled to learn about the 2025 runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas. This is a series of 4K runs to celebrate the holidays with The Muppets. Those who choose to participate can run these 4Ks or wocka wocka them. This series of races comes as The Muppets celebrate their 70th anniversary. The races include digital race bibs and finisher certificates, plus a set of limited-edition Muppets medals that double as holiday ornaments. These races can also be completed anytime and anywhere.
Registration for the 2025 runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas opens on August 19, 2025. As is always the case, share your experience and progress with #runDisneyVirtual.

Below are the themes for each of these virtual races:
Miss Piggy and Foo Foo Virtual 4K
Join Miss Piggy and Foo Foo for 2.49-mile miles filled with flair, fluff, and fabulousness. Whether you strut, skip, or demand a dramatic entrance, this race is all about making an impression.
Gonzo and Camilla Virtual 4K
Step right up for 2.49 miles of holiday nonsense and spectacular stunts! With Gonzo and Camila at the helm, expect feathers, flair, and festive chaos from start to finish.
Kermit and Robin Virtual 4K
Hi-ho and happy holidays! Join Kermit and Robin for 2.49 miles of joyful leaps, festive tunes, and feel-good fun—banjo playing optional, holiday cheer required.
Virtual Event Policies
Registration
- Entry fees for the runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas are non-refundable and include a separate processing fee.
- Disney reserves the right to revoke any registration for any race for any reason in its sole discretion with refund of any applicable registration fees being the sole remedy of any such refusal and/or revocation.
- All races are non-transferable between individuals, between event weekends and to events that have reached capacity/sold out.
Medals
Please note this event is open to residents of the U.S. and U.S. Territories only, and medals may only be shipped to addresses within these regions.
Registered runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas participants will receive their commemorative medal in the mail at the physical address they submit during the event registration process. Medals will be shipped at the conclusion of the event completion timeframe. Please note that your medal cannot be shipped to a PO Box or APO Box, and after three attempts to deliver your medal to the address provided, no additional attempts will be made. All attempts to deliver medals for this event will conclude at the end of the calendar year.
Eligibility
All members of the family are encouraged to participate as long as each member is eligible for the particular racing event, as follows:
- Participants for the runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas Challenge must be 5 years of age or older on race day and must be able to complete each 4K on their own.
Virtual Race Times
Participants track their own times, and completion is based on the honor system. Once you complete your run, visit the finisher website to submit your finish time and download your race certificate.
