When deciding on staying at a Walt Disney Resort, you have so many options to choose from. To be exact 25 resorts and in all that decision making you are expecting some minor features like updated accommodations, close amenities, reliable transportation, dining alternatives and much more.
It can be pretty difficult trying to pick a resort when you haven’t stayed there either and mixed reviews can leave you kind of confused. Thankfully we have reviews for you on our website but have decided to narrow our list to 5 worst places to stay when some convincing reasons. Do these resorts make your cut too?
Caribbean Beach Resort
First on our list is the Caribbean Beach Resort for oh some many reasons. This moderate resort starts out at around $304 a night for a standard resort room. With that serious amount of money, it should be pristine. While some love the décor many people feel this resort needs a major update. We have notice that many of the buildings need refurbishments as well. Though we love that this resort offers transportation with the Disney’s Skyliner, the wait times can be a serious killer. Still this resort has a fantastic pool design.
All of the All-Star Resorts
These value resorts start at around $146 a night, and some say comparable to a Motel 6, ouch! These are also the smallest rooms at Disney World leaving families cramped on an expensive vacation. The resorts are also farther away than others, only close to Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The whirl wind ride to other theme parks takes longer to arrive, which make traveling with kids unbearable, especially coming back to the resort at night. Bus waits are longer and with more guests means longer wait times in line.
All-Star Music
Though this is perfect for larger families with their larger suites, this resort is very busy and loud accommodating 2,000 rooms in total. Along with most rooms needing updating to others remodeled but lacking Disney’s famous adornment.
All-Star Sports Resort
The worst resort on our list this outdated resort got a little refurbishment. Though many say the larger-than-life childish figurines are outdated, while other sports lovers enjoy the way Disney has represented Sports of all kinds.
All-Star Movies Resort
The best resort out of the three, this resorts refurbishment has brought back some allure although with smaller rooms not enough. The large figurines adorn throughout the property represent many popular movies that some children don’t appreciate like they do at the Art of Animation Resort. This resort is also very active and noisy, housing 1,920 rooms in total.
Coronado Springs Resort
This gigantic moderate resort/convention hotel got a new companion with the building of Gran Destino Tower which brought in a luxury feel. Though this resort holds many dining options it is massive and challenging to walk around. In addition, the transportation system is sluggish, and bus run several stops around the complex before heading out. Time management needs to be takin in account when traveling to and from. We waited anywhere between 20 to 60 minutes for a bus. Most rooms have been refurbished to match the unique theming and probably one of the coolest swimming pools Disney has designed.
