Disney Updated Policies: Door Décor
Disney has had to crack down on the elaborate door and wall décor cruisers have been putting up to while on their stay on the ship. While most people just had magnets many people have been doing wall décor on both sides of their door even extending it to their neighbor’s side many feet away from their door.
Examples pictured below.

Disney states that have been a safety issue with décor sticking away from the shorter hallways, complaints from cruisers that something was taken down. This also hinders the cast members cleaning the rooms, hallways and exiting safely from rooms.
Some of Disney complaints are cruisers damaging the paint, wallpaper or décor on the walls, by guest using tape, stick on vinyl adhesive, sticky jelly adhesives, Velcro and addition items that scratch or dent the walls. Moreover, blocking the hallway at anytime is prohibited even at 3 to 4 inches away from wall.
Disney states, “they will find you $100 for every damaged area.”
